Seven Arrested in an Attempted Plot to Smuggle Drugs Inside Pike Jail.
A smuggling ring attemting to smuggle marijuana and pain medication into the Pike County Detention Center was shortcircuited. Seven people including three inmates were arrested. Police were able to intercept the drugs before they reached the inmates. Authorities were tipped off when an inmate used a telephone from inside the facility to demand the drugs. One problem the phone was tapped.
