Member of Governor Fletcher's Cabinet Submits Resignation.

State Finance and Administration Cabinet Secretary John Farris has announced that he his resigning effective July 31st. Farris has served as cabinet secretary since June of '06. Prior to his appointment as secretary, he served as deputy secretary of the cabinet.. Farris plans to take some personal time this summer to spend with his family before pursuing other career opportunities.

Deputy Secretary Mike Burnside of Lancaster will become secretary August 1st.
