John Edwards Becomes First Presidential Candidate to Visit Prestonsburg in 39 Years.
About a thousand spectators, both young and old congregated in front of the Old Floyd County Courthouse, to listen and get a glimpse of a presidential candidate. Senator John Edwards one America bus tour visited Prestonsburg. Edwards is the first candidate to run for the White House, to visit Floyd County, since Bobby Kennedy came to the area in 1968.
