Wayland Police Chief Resigns after Being Jailed on Drug Charges

Donald Nathan Little resigned as the Chief of Police of the small Floyd County community of Wayland. Little was arrested this past weekend in Pikeville. Little is accused of being on methadone when he visited a Pike County restaurant. Wayland has had a high turnover rate for the position. In the last seven years, the town has had five police officers. For the time being the police cruiser will be parked behind city hall.
