Two Floyd County Schools Received Grants from First Lady
Two Floyd County Schools received a school library grant from First Lady, Laura Bush. Allen Central High School and McDowell Elementary each received $5,000 grants. The foundation was founded in 2002 as a fund of The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region. Since it’s beginning , The Laura Bush Foundation has awarded more than $4.3 million to 897 schools in all 50 states.
