Pike County Plans on Going After Oxycontin Makers
We’ve had enough. Now, someone has to pay. That’s the message sent out by officials in Pike County. The subject is oxycontin. A powerful painkiller, Judge Executive Wayne T. Rutherford and Sheriff Fuzzy Keesee reported to the Pike County Fiscal Courtthe extent of the impact oxycontin has on the county. A possible lawsuit is in the planning stage to recoup some of the cost of the devastation the drug has caused. Attorney Gary C. Johnson will act as the attorney for the county.
