Massey Energy To Stay Independant.
Massey Energy, an independent coal company , and the nation’s fourth largest producer, announced Monday there would be no sale of its operations. Chief Executive Officer, Don Blankenship said the company would now focus on increasing profit margins to stockholders and acquiring additional central Appalachian coal properties and reserves.
