Martin County Man arrested on child Abuse Charge.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Department arrested an Inez man after he admitted to them that he struck his 14 year old grandchild. 57 year-old Larry G. Johnson was charged with fourth degree assault (child abuse ) . According to the complaint, the teenager went to a neighbors’ house with red marks on her legs, back and neck. Johnson told police that he struck his granddaughter because she wouldn’t stay home. The girl told the deputies that she wanted to say over at a friends house
