Massey CEO Seeking To Have Himself Removed from a Lawsuit
Logan County Circuit Court Judge Roger Perry took no action today after a motion to dismiss a lawsuit. Massey Energy CEO Don Blankenship filed a motion to be removed as a defendant in a civil lawsuit filed by the widows of coal miners Don Bragg and Elvis Hatfield. The men lost there lives in the Alma Number One mine fire 16 months ago. The plaintiff’s claim Blankenship was directly involved in the day to day production output out put of the mine.
