Kentucky State Police Investigating School Bus Accident

The Kentucky State Police continues there investigation of a school bus accident that occurred in Pike County on Friday. According to the KSP, Josh Akers was traveling eastbound on KY 1469, Akers lost control of his vehicle smashing into the back of the school bus, causing extensive damage to the driver’s side of his vehicle and damage to the back of the bus. The bus was hauling 27 students from G.F. Johnson Elementary and Virgie Middle School. Two students and Akers were taken to a local hospital for minor injuries. The accident occurred in the Long Fork area of Pike County.
