Christmas Comes Early for Big Sandy Habitat for Humanity

Officials with Citi - Financial were on hand Wednesday as they presented a check in the amount of $25,000 to the Big Sandy Habitat for Humanity. The presentation was held at Robinson Heights, located one mile north of Coal Run. The money will go towards building a habitat home for a Pikeville couple. That project will get underway this fall. The non - profit organization has almost completed its seventh home on the 19 acres site. Debbie Murphy with Habitat for Humanity hopes to have the latest project done next week. Volunteers from Big Sandy Community and Technical College has been working on the home for the past three weeks.
