Police Asking for Help to Aprehend Suspect
Authorities in Floyd County are asking for help from the public in finding a man suspected of robbing a local liquor store. Close to 11 o’clock Friday evening Police received a call from Newsome Wine and Spirits in the McDowell area with an employee stating that a male subject armed with a knife, wearing a green jacket and gray ski mask entered the store and demanded money. According to the clerk, the suspect left on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. A search of the area was conducted however police have yet to make an arrest and are looking to the public for clues. Anyone that may have information regarding the robbery is urged to contact the Kentucky State Police, who are being assisted in the investigation by Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement and the Floyd County Sheriffs office.
