House Speaker Jody Richards was in town over the weekend as part of a kick off to his campaign for Governor, along with running mate John Y. Brown the third. The speaker of the state house took the time to speak with EKB news, detailing his vision for the bluegrass state, should he occupy the Governors Mansion. “The foundation of our campaign will be honest and integrity. We envision a state that has the best education system that we can provide and afford. We envision a new Kentucky that has a good high paying job for every person who wants one. We envision a Kentucky where our seniors can live out their lives with dignity and respect and are able to purchase their prescription drugs affordably. We envision a Kentucky that has better health care for everyone and has affordable insurance. We Envision a Kentucky where veterans who have done so much for us can have the services they deserve when they come back from service.” We will continue to follow the race for Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky through the November General election and over the course of the next few weeks plan to speak with all of the candidates on both the republican and democratic side, in order to ensure that our listeners make the most inform decision about who leads Kentucky into the next decade.
