Boone County Clerk Facing Sexual Harassment
WEST VIRGINIA....
A lawsuit filed in Boone County Circuit Court alleges that County Clerk Gary Williams sexually harassed office assistant, 24 year old Ashley Parsons Jackson and that the three-member Boone County Commission knew of "coerced sexual relations" and did nothing to protect Jackson or punish Williams.
The suit says that four months after Jackson was hired to a part-time position in August 2004, Williams asked her to go out with him, promising she would get promoted to a full time position. As a condition, she was allegedly required to continue a sexual relationship with him. The suit claims the relationship lasted from January 2005 to June 2008, although she repeatedly tried to break off the relationship. The woman says Williams would tell her that if she broke things off he would not be able to stand to be around her and she would lose her job.
